The PGC students said that a college bus driver lured the girl into the basement of the college by telling her that her fees were still outstanding. They accused her of being raped by a security guard at the venue.
The students alleged that when the health of the victim worsened, she was removed from the premises of the college while still hiding behind a ‘duppata.’

During the interaction with media personnel, Rana Sikandar Hayat, the education minister of Punjab, said that he explained to the management of the college that students raised voices for her sisters, and if the college tried to cancel the registration of any student, as the provincial education minister he would not allow it.
He further said that, to the best of his knowledge, there was an attempt on the part of a student of PGC, Gulberg Campus, to rape a fellow student.
Speaking on the registeration the minister said that registration of Punjab College has been suspended. ”These are all educated youth and they stood up for their sisters; I am also with them,” he said.
He said that students have alleged that the principal of the college has erased the CCTV footage. The minister was present at the event and addressed the protesting students explaining that he was on the same side as the students.
The protestors, who had been demonstrating outside the Punjab College Gulberg campus, showcased bloody signs on their clothes and claimed that they had been assaulted by the security guards as well as the police in the presence of the principal and the vice principal of the college.
This the students said that the police personnel went to the college and assaulted them with riffles. On the other hand, guards of the Punjab College Muslim Town campus use force on one of the demonstrating students and the later is in critical condition.
The protesting students also demanded that the alleged rape victim has died, while Police baton charged them on the directions of Mian Amir Mehmood and college administration.
The students admitted that they were told not to go for the protest or else their education career will be terminated.
