The United States is in the last week before the presidential election, with Harris campaigning in swing states and Trump also targeting swing states.

When is the US election?
The election will be held on Tuesday which is the 5th of November in the year 2024.
Polling will be between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Local time depends on the country’s various states involved in the election. Given the span of multiple time zones in the US, that would be between 11:00 GMT and 16:00 GMT.
At what time does the polling end?
The closing of the polls also varies from state to state and in some cases even by county.
However, most polling stations will close between 6 pm Eastern Time and midnight Eastern Time (22:00-04:00 GMT).
US Election Vote Counting: Start Time & Expected Results
Just hours after the first polls close at 6 pm Eastern Time (22:After midnight 00 GMT, one should expect the results or at least some of them to start arriving. Nevertheless, states will take a different amount of time in counting votes more so than other states. While the earlier polls close several hours later in areas to the west of the country, their outcome will start coming later – while some eastern states may already be called for Harris or Trump.
They are still very close, and the counting could go on for more than a day and the winner would remain unknown for several days.
‘It’s close,’ said Raymond J. La Raja, a political science professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
As per the FiveThirtyEight’s National Polls tracker Harris was ahead by about 1.2 percentage points as of Friday.
