The ICC has updated the schedule for the ninth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup. This has been relocated to the UAE due to disruptions in Bangladesh. However, Bangladesh will still retain its status as the official host.

The tournament will now be held in Dubai and Sharjah from October 3 to October 20. This featuring the top 10 women’s teams globally.

Teams and Grouping:

Group A: Group A consists of six-time champions Australia, 2020 runners-up India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

Group B: Group B includes Bangladesh, Scotland, West Indies (2016 champions), South Africa, and England.

Each team will play four group-stage matches. The above schedule includes three double-header match days at each location, adding to the excitement.

Opening Match: Defending champions Australia will start the tournament against Sri Lanka on October 5 in Sharjah.

Host Collaboration:

The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will jointly organize the tournament, with Bangladesh retaining its hosting rights.

The first three matches between India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand will occur in Dubai. India will play their final group match in Sharjah against reigning champions Australia. Their next key game is against Pakistan on October 6. If India reaches the semi-finals, they’ll face top teams from Dubai.
